About Lisa Baldwin
Founder & Managing Attorney, Baldwin Law, PLLC
Lisa Baldwin founded Baldwin Law, PLLC in 2026 and serves as its managing attorney and trusted counselor to her clients, bringing over sixteen years of national plaintiffs' complex litigation, mediation, arbitration, and negotiation experience to Westchester County and the New York metropolitan area.
Lisa grew up in Westchester. After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law, she joined nationally recognized plaintiffs' firm Nix Patterson, LLP, where she practiced as an associate and equity partner. At Nix Patterson, Lisa and her team represented individuals, small businesses, institutional investors, state governments, and Native American nations in state and federal courts, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals across the country, obtaining recoveries well in excess of one billion dollars.
As a member of the Nix Patterson trial and litigation teams, Lisa worked on some of the most significant cases of the past two decades: from the nation's first opioid trial on behalf of the State of Oklahoma, to landmark securities fraud class actions against Wall Street institutions, historic royalty underpayment class actions on behalf of oil and gas mineral interest owners, a landmark case on behalf of the Choctaw and Chickasaw Nations against the United States Department of the Interior for mismanaging over 1.3 million acres of their valuable timber lands, and a groundbreaking New York Adult Survivors Act case on behalf of 45 women against serial abuser James Toback and the Harvard Club of New York City.
In every matter, the story has been the same: an individual, small business, or community faced a powerful institution with every structural advantage. In each case, Lisa and her team fought relentlessly for their clients through fearless advocacy and savvy legal strategy and obtained outstanding results.
After sixteen years in Texas, Lisa made a deliberate decision to return to her roots in Westchester to be close to her family and to build a client-focused legal practice in her community, grounded in excellence, integrity, honesty, compassion, and zealous advocacy. At Baldwin Law, every matter is handled personally, with meticulous preparation and unwavering commitment to the client.
Lisa has represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial cases, class actions, and personal injury matters. At Baldwin Law, her representation is focused in three areas: employment law, sexual abuse and harassment, and oil and gas mineral interest matters.
Lisa has received numerous honors for her work including the National Trial Lawyers' 2019 Trial Team of the Year Award, the National Trial Lawyers' Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Lawyers (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024), and the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers (2020, 2023, 2024).
Lisa is an active member of the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester County Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association/NY, the State Bar of Texas, and the Oklahoma Bar Association.
